ECC-Spain informs foreign tourists of the telephone complaints service of the General Directorate of the Police

Foreign tourists can dial 902 102 112 to process their complaints and they will be attended in German, Spanish, French, English and Italian.

  • They also have an exclusive information service for foreign tourists (SATE) to solve questions or request information about citizen security.

The telephone complaints service for foreign tourists is offered by the National Police and it is attended in German, Spanish, French, English and Italian. Tourists can dial 902 102 112 to report crimes such as certain thefts and damages.

Whenever tourists use this telephone complaints service, they must also report the infraction in a police station within 48 hours. There, they they must signed and ratified the compliant.

Geman an Italian calls will be attended from 09:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For Spanish, French and English calls, lines will be open from 9 :00 a.m. to 21 :00 p.m. In all cases, the service is operational from Monday to Sunday.

Nevertheless, infractions that require immediate intervention by the Police will not be attended. In these cases, foreigns tourist must go to a police station to report the infraction.

Likewise, the Spanish European Consumer Centre informs that the General Directorate of the Police also has an exclusive information service for foreign tourists (SATE) where they can resolve their doubts and request information related to citizen security issues. Notice that this service is only available in specific tourist cities of our country.
